Job-search platform Hirey hosted its second Insurance Sales Recruitment Event on Thursday (December 5), playing host to top recruiters as many talented insurance sales professionals gathered to explore new career opportunities. The event brought together leading industry experts and recruiters to offer insights into career paths, compensation structures, and business models for both licensed and non-licensed agents. The event included a series of interesting and helpful presentations from top professionals in the insurance and financial services industries. Each speaker shared important information about their companies and the career opportunities they offer. Here are some of the insights: Aideen Briones from World Financial Group (WFG) kicked things off by talking about how WFG helps families achieve financial freedom. They focus a lot on education, giving people the tools they need to secure their financial future. For those who aren’t licensed yet, WFG offers solid support to help you get licensed in just about a month. They’ve got great training and mentorship to help new agents succeed. The commission starts at 25% but can go up to 65% depending on how well you’re doing. Aideen shared how WFG’s focus on personal and professional growth makes it a great place for anyone looking to build a career in insurance. Experior, which started in 2014, works in both the U.S. and Canada and offers a variety of services like life insurance, retirement planning, and wealth management. They have this cool “tri-grid” model that mixes the best parts of captive agencies, IMOs, and MLMs, giving agents a lot of flexibility. Leah explained how agents start earning at 70% commission, and that can go up to 130% based on how well they perform. There are two ways to earn: focus on personal sales or build and manage teams. Experior is hiring agents for part-time, full-time, and spare-time roles and gives great opportunities for growth and financial success. Symmetry has been recognized for its top-notch work environment, even winning the "Top Company Culture" award from Entrepreneur for two years in a row. Kashawn talked about how the company really focuses on building relationships and keeping things positive, which is key to long-term success in the insurance world. He also went over all the products Symmetry offers, like life, health, and wealth insurance, including things like mortgage protection, term and whole life insurance, disability, critical illness, Medicare supplements, and annuities. Symmetry’s commission starts at 80% and can go up to 130% based on how you perform. New agents also get access to a lead system, training, and support, so they can start writing policies in just 2-3 weeks. Marcus talked about living benefits life insurance, a cool type of policy that lets you access benefits while you're still alive, instead of just after you pass. He went over the main benefits like terminal illness, disability, critical illness, Alzheimer’s, and income replacement. Marcus explained that bundling all these benefits into one policy is way cheaper than buying them separately. Plus, he mentioned that life insurance can grow tax-free if you overfund the account, which makes it a great option for saving for retirement. He wrapped up by encouraging everyone to take charge of their financial future and use life insurance to protect loved ones and grow wealth while you’re still around. Finally, Gary Michels, a distinguished life insurance professional with over 42 years of experience, introduced his company, Southwestern Legacy. Gary, who has been part of the Southwestern family of companies for many years, discussed how he transitioned from building a successful sales training consultancy into the life insurance industry. For the past four years, he has been growing a national insurance agency with approximately 150 agents. Gary emphasized his hands-on approach to leadership, ensuring that his agents receive the mentorship and support needed to succeed. His agency, affiliated with Integrity Marketing, is one of the largest and fastest-growing insurance agencies in the U.S. He highlighted the agency’s competitive commission structure, which starts at 80% and can increase up to 145% depending on the agent’s production. Gary also shared the incredible success of agents within his team, such as Andrew Taylor, whose team generated $18 million in revenue in just one month. By fostering a supportive and success-driven environment, Gary ensures that agents are well-positioned to achieve their personal and professional goals. Our goal at Hirey is to bridge the gap between talented professionals and industry leaders to create mutually beneficial career opportunities,” said Mark Johnson of Hirey.
