Description
Under general supervision, perform complex, high value transactions which require attention to detail and discretionary decision making. Position will interface with international base of customers to ensure superior customer service and timely and accurate performance of the order to cash collection process. Responsibilities include coordination between internal suppliers and labs, International customers, banks, supervisors, umpires and labs.
Contract administration for all Freeport Sales Company international concentrate sales transactions (purchases and sales). Responsible for maintaining the physical sales book
Manages annual contract sales with International customers including invoice preparation for sales transactions. Ensure all transactions are input into SAP
Verify and monitor all payments due to North/South American mines including monitoring/coordinating/confirming with manager on payments received and paid
Communicate and coordinate with metals accounting to ensure all transactions are properly booked and appropriate SOX procedures are followed
Liaise with North/South American mines to monitor assay information, shipment timing, etc
Coordinate with International customers to deliver shipment documents and provide assay information.
Perform assay exchanges with customers, analyze exchange results and interface with internal/International laboratories.
Manages the supply chain to optimize and reduce transportation costs
Negotiates spot sales and purchases as required
Oversee letter of credit transactions with banks to ensure compliance with internal requirements and ensure that all documentation is accurate and timely payments are effected
Prepares daily/monthly/annual forecasts as required
May directly supervise Sales Analyst(s)
Arrange surveyor supervision for weighing/sampling at unloading ports
Perform other duties as required.

This position requires air travel. Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Global Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent work experience
Five (5) years of experience in industrial sales office or similar work environment to include experience with coaching and training new service reps
Strong negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability in handling customer demands and production issues
Ability to make good decisions and enforce company policies in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures
Strong organizational skills, ability to work in dynamic, constantly-changing environment
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet aggressive deadlines and work well under pressure
Ability to develop and maintain business relationships within a diverse population
Experience in making pricing decisions
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem solving, accuracy and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to succeed in international sales environment
Present a positive and professional image
Must be self-motivated and client service oriented
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database programs and the Internet
Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machine and photocopier
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
