Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) need people in
their lives who provide them with assistance and instruction on completing tasks
that most people take for granted. Professionals who provide this help and
training are known as direct support professionals (DSPs). DSPs provide support
to people who have a variety of disabilities and may need assistance across a wide
range of tasks, including personal care, cooking, and cleaning and other activities
of daily living. The goal is to help people achieve a comfortable level of

Is this right for you?
Must be dependable and punctual
Must be 18 years of age or older; 21 yrs + for positions requiring a driver
Must have the ability to successfully pass background check with Arizona
Central Registry, Arizona Adult Protective Services and obtain Level One
Fingerprint Clearance
Must pass AIRES required trainings. (These include FA/CPR, Prevention &
Support, Article IX plus AIRES trainings)
Valid Arizona driver’s license for certain positions requiring you to drive
