Our medical practice is in search for the perfect candidate!
A positive attitude and a friendly personality are always preferred.
Must speak Spanish!
At least 1 year of medical assisting experience required!
Candidate must meet the following responsibilities:
Obtaining vital signs and weights of patients, taking medication and supplement history, and preparing patients to be seen and evaluated by all health care providers working in the office
In-office HbA1C and Hb testing
Phlebotomy for laboratory testing
Instructing patients on the technique of subcutaneous and IM drug administration
Subcutaneous/intramuscluar drug administration
Downloading blood records, when applicable
Preparation of injectables, and oral medication.
Maintaining an accurate log of medications and, if necessary, contacting the appropriate pharmaceutical representative to ensure adequate supply.
In addition, the duties of the Employee may also include:
Enter patient’s information into Software
Maintain consult rooms and waiting room clean and presentable
Answer phone calls and send faxes efficiently and in a timely fashion
Patient scheduling and staffing logistics
Computer entry/Scanning
Update inventory for supplements and medications
Filing charts and reports both in electronic medical record and standard chart
Schedule tests and appointments
Obtaining outside medical records/test results in a fashion that is compliant with HIPPA regulations

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
