Must be 21 years old to work at this agency.

High school diploma or
Master's degree or bachelor's degree in a health care
related field:
A registered nurse;
A physician's assistant not working as a medical
practitioner;
A bachelor's degree and at least one year of full time health
care work experience; or an associate degree and at least
one years of full time in health care related experience;
A high school diploma or school equivalency
diploma (GED) and two years* experience in health
care related field, must continue bi-weekly
Behavioral health training with Destiny; or 3 years*
experience in health care related field, must
continue bi-weekly Behavioral health training with
Destiny.
Experience
Supervising SMI residents ages 18 years and older in a
Behavioral Health Agency, with experience in dealing with
SMI diagnosis and co-occurring disorders, understands and
able to identify medications commonly prescribed for
mental disorder; providing counseling and supervision of
medication to residents with behavioral and mental health
issues.
Training
Continue Behavioral Health Technician training with a
combination of at least six years of education in a field
related to health care and full-time health care work
experience.
Skills & Knowledge
Understanding of services needed for residents with
behavioral health issues. Must demonstrate skills,
knowledge and protection of resident's rights; recognize
obvious symptoms of mental disorder; understand the BH
services this agency is authorized to provide; maintain
confidentiality of resident records; respect cultural
differences; be able to read and implement residents
treatment plan; assist residents in accessing community
services; follow policy and procedure of the agency.
Provide counseling to SMI residents under the supervision
of the Clinical Director; Demonstrate leadership and be a
role model for peers

Position Responsibilities:
Report to the Lead BHT.
Provide residents with a supportive and protective living environment
Prepare meals and provide residents transportation to outside therapeutic services
when indicated.
Prepare daily progress notes on resident's progress and regression in direct and
report services offered through the agency.
Provide counseling to SMI residents under the supervision of the Executive Clinical
Director:
Assist residents in formal and informal independent and life skills training.
Assure that residents take necessary medications in accordance with agency's
self-administration medication procedures.
Assist residents in receiving the care and services specified in their treatment/care
plan and in accordance with the rules set forth by the department of behavioral
health services.
Attend regularly scheduled Personnel training and meetings.

There will be a job review and raise at 90 days of employment.
