Construction Materials Testing Technician

ConformaTech is a Tucson, Arizona based construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering firm, and we are looking for an entry level Construction Materials Testing Technician. This position involves field sampling and testing of soils, concrete and asphalt construction materials. To be concise and brief, we test construction materials to make sure buildings do not fall over and roads do not fail. The applicant chosen for this important position will receive on-the-job paid training and guidance until they are ready to work independently with little supervision. Additional training and certifications will be paid by us and allow for rapid advancement.

No previous experience as a Construction Materials Technician is necessary; however, the applicant chosen for this position should have most of the following:

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision,
• Clean driving record (no DUI in the past five years),
• Valid Arizona driver’s license (required),
• Pass a ten-panel drug test prior to employment,
• Background check which indicates no felonies (required for critical infrastructure projects),
• High school graduate or GED,
• Willing to work nights, weekends and overtime,
• Basic math skills,
• Organized with good record keeping skills,
• Desire to work on construction sites,
• Able to move wheelbarrow half-filled with concrete,
• Reliable transportation.
