Job Description
Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, sandwiches, salads, or desserts, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures
Clean and maintain workstation while practicing good safety and sanitation
Ensure ingredients are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively
Wash dishes; clean and properly sanitize kitchen; sweep and mop floors; and remove trash
Monitor inventory and inform Dining Services Director of order needs
Qualifications:
Previous commercial kitchen experience preferred
Positive attitude with ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication and listening skills
Strong organizational skills
Able to lift up to 50 lbs / push/pull/carry up to 30 lbs; constant standing and frequent walking required
Must have or be able to obtain a valid food handler card
Must pass criminal background check and drug test
